BOOK REPORT This month the book report genre is fiction. If you have any questions on your book choice, please ask me. I want the book to be one that takes at least a week to read. It should not be a book that can be read in 10 minutes. I sent home the information with all students last week. If you did not get it I will post it on my website and send you a copy in an email. In general students need to decorate a pumpkin like a character from their book. Please do not carve the pumpkin. The pumpkin needs to be small enough for the student to carry it themselves. Please bring a poster with pictures and any information that you would like to share. For example what they like to do and their “favorites”. Please send me an email if you have any questions.
We have a a great first full week of school. We are learning a lot and getting to know each other. This week will be our first week with regular spelling practice at home. Please look for a homework paper to come home on Monday. If you do not see their homework you can download it from my website or they can get a new one from me. We will also be starting math class on Monday, please keep in mind that the first several weeks are review and should be very easy for the students. One of the best ways you can help your student is to practice addition and subtraction math facts at home. Students will be tested on these daily, the faster and more accurate they can do this the better. This week is also uniform reinforcement week. If students are not in proper uniform I will send a reminder home with them and let them know what was wrong. Thank you for helping your students with this.
Please let me know if you have any question. Thank you,
